Amy-elizabeth Provost
Executive Assistant
As an Executive Assistant, Amy-elizabeth supports President and Founder Vanessa Kirsch with calendar management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation. Initially unsure about what she wanted to do with her life, Amy-elizabeth contacted a staffing agency after graduating from college. This phone call led her to the Institute for Justice, the nation's only libertarian public-interest law firm, where she learned to love and feel at home in the nonprofit world. After working for the Institute for Justice for several years, Amy-elizabeth felt she was playing it safe, so she took a risk and moved to Boston for new challenges. While working for a for-profit company in Boston, Amy-elizabeth realized that she missed the nonprofit sector, and soon joined the team at New Profit.
Amy-elizabeth came to New Profit from BostonCoach, where she supported the President, CFO, and Senior Vice President of Sales. Prior to BostonCoach, she worked at the Institute for Justice in Arlington, Virginia, where she started as the receptionist and left as the Director of Development. Amy-elizabeth is a proud Terp for Life, having earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Depending on the season, Amy-elizabeth can be found supporting the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and - when she's up for a fight - the New York Yankees. She also loves to travel, which is fortunate because her family and best friends do not live in Boston. Her hobbies also include analyzing her friends' and strangers' astrological makeup, going to music festivals, watching horror movies, re-learning French, and joining her VA friends in swooning over Edward Cullen and Eric Northman.
