Civic Engagement, Inclusive Impact

Join New Profit for a Special Screening of JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE

October 5, 2020

Our country is at an inflection point. Intertwining and inequitable systems, from health and education to legal and democracy and beyond, have been laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic and the renewed and growing call for Black liberation and justice. In the midst of all this, we are seeing an unprecedented, citizen-led movement to rearchitect America and extend the promise of our country’s founding ideals to people who have too long been shut out of opportunity.

At this moment of turmoil, trauma, and yes, opportunity, we invite you to examine the legacy of one of America’s most important warriors for equity: the late Congressman John Lewis. Please RSVP here, to access a virtual screening of JOHN LEWIS: GOOD TROUBLE, a documentary about the legacy of Congressman John Lewis, an American hero and inspirational symbol of civil and voting rights. The film will be available for screening starting October 12 through October 15. Please join us on October 15th, 2-3pm ET, for a post-screening conversation with Ben Arnon, Co-Producer of the film and democracy entrepreneurs and movement leaders from the New Profit community about “collective liberation”, activism, policy, and culture. The conversation will also feature:
