As Managing Partner, Yordanos leads the vision, strategy, and management of New Profit’s Catalyze Investments portfolio. Under Yordanos’ leadership, the portfolio has flourished to include more than 40 early-stage social impact organizations. Her writing, speaking, and thought leadership has helped to center equity and systems-level thinking within the Catalyze portfolio, but also more broadly in key segments of social entrepreneurship including civic engagement and democracy reform.

In 2019, Yordanos founded New Profit’s Civic Lab which has become a leading nonpartisan fund that invests in innovative solutions building civic trust and an inclusive democracy. By 2024, Civic Lab will have deployed millions of dollars and capacity building support to democracy entrepreneurs and supported 30+ organizations.

Yordanos started with New Profit as a Portfolio Analyst in 2011, becoming the first person in the organization to grow into a senior leadership role. Over the years, she has supported the launch and growth of several key enterprise initiatives including the Reimagine Learning Fund, the Reimagine School Systems Fund, and the Parent Empowerment Practitioner Network. She has also partnered with internal teams to increase the diversity of our team, the level of inclusion in our culture, and the equity we’re achieving through our enterprise-level strategy.

Yordanos is a multifaceted leader and social justice warrior who has and will continue to shape our firm, our sector, and our democracy.

— Trevor Brown, Managing Partner at New Profit
