America’s current education system is not designed to serve all students. Yet, the answers are there. Teachers—particularly educators of color—possess critical knowledge and insight into how to foster a sense of ownership and empowerment in their students, leading to increased motivation and a sense of belonging. Similarly, families and community members know the methods that help students achieve academic success and social-emotional wellbeing.
We work with and learn from these stakeholders to ensure we can select and support the education organizations with the greatest potential to improve learning and life outcomes for all of our nation’s students.
